Therapeutic Actions
Ba Zhen Tang tonifies the qi and blood and strengthens the functions of the spleen and liver. It is indicated in cases of double qi and blood vacuity syndrome characterized by: dizziness, lightheadedness, fatigue in the four limbs, shortness of breath, sluggishness, palpitations, anorexia, pale tongue, thin white coating, thin, weak, or empty pulse, large, and weak. Ba Zhen Tang can be used for general weakness during convalescence, various chronic diseases, weight loss, irregular periods, blood loss after childbirth, difficult-to-heal abscesses and boils, etc., if there are signs of double qi and blood vacuity.
